LOL Because I didn't live up to the mission of having a superior intelligence I fear banishment----nooooo Can one be ousted for showing a lapse in memory?

Skulig - noooooooo you are a valued member of the high council of the land of G. You meet and exceed the intelligence requirements around here and are a valued member of this community and one of the official designators of our language... You are the leading linguist of the land of G.

Thanks! I have never been a member of a Council before and I accept that designation with honor. I have been a victim though. Those bastards on Student Council were continually sending me to "court" for various infractions and meting out punishments like essays on crap I knew nothing about. It's been a long time - but I don't forget, may they rot in hell!!! (Along with Master Bates from college BIO that I threw the pig at.) LOL.

I don't think she has a clue. I think she's so far gone and delusional that's it's impossible to reach her. I may be wrong but I don't think we'll hear from her again.

Personally, I like the delusional ones. They can be loads of fun. It's the borderlines I can't stand. But delusional? Good times.

We used to have a patient who was very delusional and could be extremely dangerous. One night he came stomping towards the office, pissed as hell and begin screaming about somebody stealing his brain.

I very calmly, but sternly, explained to him no one had stolen his brain and that he had left it in the bathroom. I assured him I had put his brain in the backroom for safe keeping and he could have it back in the morning.

This satisfied him completely and the next morning he had forgotten all about it and was hallucinating he was Jim Morrison.

ROFL Thats hilarious Chinzak. See thats why I would not work out well in a mental health setting. I would have entirely too much fun winding up the nut jobs LOL

When I was working as a paramedic, many many many years ago we picked up this EDP (emotionally disturbed person) BIGGEST, HUGEST, MOST GINORMOUS black dude I ever saw... Bare ass naked with a feather duster sticking out of his ass, flapping his arms and squawking his way down the double yellow lines... He INSISTED he was big bird. Well we gave him a ride to "Ernie and Bert's Party" We got to the hospital and there was this EMS hating BITCH nurse I could not stand, so I decided to have a little fun. Right as we were wheeling him in I whispered to him that we lied... He isnt going to see Ernie and Bert, they are gonna COOK HIM!!! Hey - my paperwork was already signed, no longer my problem but it made an interesting night in the ER... LOL.

Jesus, I thought there were meds for that. Guess pills can't cure everything.

What did Black Bird do when he found out they were going to cook him?

Screamed, ran, resisted violently LOL It was a bad night to be a nurse, she no doubt had a ton of incident reports to fill out LOL

We used to fuck with her big time... There is a drug "Narcan" that is the antidote to a heroin overdose. Its a "narcotic antagonist" you give it and you go from OD'd to severe withdrawal and majorly pissed off in no time flat LOL Well instead of giving it like we were supposed to we would titrate it for effect... Give the od case enough to get him breathing again but not enough to wake him up, then slam the rest in as we walked through the ER doors. That way we had a nice quiet unconcious patient on the ride in, and she had an uncontrollable animal in the ER. LOL

I always enjoyed getting the craziest ones wound up. Had one fellow who used to hallucinate werewolves. So, I would hide in his wardrobe at night and when he'd go to bed I'd leap out wearing a werewolf mask and howling. Scared the shit out of him every time.

He was actually a good sport about it and would laugh about it when he wasn't actively delusional.

Unfortunately not. Sometimes all they do is take the edge off. And some people are left just enough 'not in touch with reality' to decide they're healthy and don't need the pills.

I had a sister-in-law with bi-polar disorder. For twenty years, despite a diagnosis and medication, the mood swings just kept getting worse. Last winter's 'high' resulted in outright delusional behavior and two of her siblings had to acquire conservatorship. This summer's low was finally so bad that she drove her car head on into a Mack truck.

No one else was killed, thank goodness, but she traumatized quite a few other people who had to deal with the aftermath.

Randy I'm really sorry about SIL and what she went through and what you have had to deal with because of it.

Thank you. Suicide is a complicated thing. Except for a few special circumstances, it's a passive aggressive act that is meant to hurt those left behind, either consciously or unconsciously.

I knew her since she was a sweet little girl of seven. Her illness was changing her into an unpleasant middle-aged woman, and it was only going to get worse. So in a way it's just as well. But I still feel anger over it. She never stopped to think that she could have killed other people by doing it the way she did.
